Ikon Pass Reveals 2026-2027 Season Details With Early Spring Access Bonus
As the current ski season winds down, winter sports enthusiasts are already looking ahead to next year’s adventures. The Ikon Pass has unveiled its offerings for the 2026-2027 season, featuring enhanced benefits, new resort partnerships, and the opportunity to hit the slopes this spring with early pass purchases.
Pass Options and Pricing Structure
The ski pass network will launch sales on March 12, with three main pass tiers available for the upcoming season. The full Ikon Pass will start at $1,349, providing unlimited access to 18 destinations and up to seven days at 56 additional mountains without blackout restrictions.
For budget-conscious skiers, the Ikon Base Pass begins at $924, offering unlimited skiing at 15 locations and up to five days at 54 additional resorts. However, this option includes blackout dates during peak periods: December 26-30, 2026; January 16-17, 2027; and February 13-14, 2027.
The Session Pass, starting at $299, caters to occasional skiers with two to four days of access across 47 destinations, though blackout dates apply at all locations.
New Discount Programs
This season introduces several cost-saving opportunities for families and young adults. Unlimited child passes start at just $249 when purchasing an adult pass, with potential savings of up to $100 per child and no family size restrictions.
The new Squad Pack targets adults aged 23-28, allowing groups of five to purchase Ikon Base Passes for $750 each—a $199 savings per person. Traditional discounts remain available for students, military personnel, and healthcare workers.
Spring 2026 Access Benefits
Pass purchasers can begin using their 2026-2027 passes immediately at select resorts, including Big Bear Mountain Resort, Snow Valley, Solitude Mountain Resort, and Stratton. Additional destinations become available starting April 6, such as Arapahoe Basin, Winter Park, Steamboat, and Mammoth Mountain.
Network Expansion and Updates
The Midwest gains significant representation with three new resort additions: Snowriver Mountain Resort in Michigan, Lutsen Mountains in Minnesota, and Granite Peak in Wisconsin. Full pass holders receive seven days of access, while Base Pass holders get five days with select restrictions.
Several operational improvements enhance the experience, including unlimited Base Pass access at Arapahoe Basin and five-day Base Pass privileges at Snowmass. Notably, Aspen Snowmass eliminates reservation requirements for all passholders.
Returning Customer Benefits
Renewal bonuses worth up to $300 offer five different options, including monthly Mountain Credits for on-site purchases, Backcountry.com credits, Marriott Bonvoy points, gear rental credits, or direct renewal discounts.
The pass also maintains partnerships with outdoor brands and travel companies, providing additional savings opportunities throughout the season.
Risk Management and Payment Options
A new refundable protection option, starting at $184.80, allows full refunds until January 15, 2027, for unused passes. Even passes with single use qualify for 50% refunds, providing flexibility for uncertain weather conditions.
Payment plans through Affirm allow customers to spread costs over three, six, or 12 months with varying interest rates, making the significant investment more manageable.
Accommodation Partnerships
The pass network aligns well with major hotel loyalty programs, particularly Marriott Bonvoy properties. Notable options include The St. Regis properties at Deer Valley and Aspen, W Aspen, and various Westin locations at ski destinations.
